How Cosmos installs a game

  1. Downloads it straight from the game's official release.
  2. Checks the SHA-256 fingerprint so the file can't be swapped.
  3. Unpacks it into your Games folder and adds it to your library.
  4. Click Play. Updates appear in Cosmos when a new version is out.

Windows games too

Cosmos has its own Windows game runtime (Proton). Add any .exe game or installer and Cosmos runs it - no Steam, no Wine setup.
