Cosmos terms of service
The rules for the Cosmos launcher, the Cosmos Store and the website.
Last updated: 2026-10-10
1. Agreement
By using Cosmos or esocosmos.dpdns.org you accept these terms and the Cosmos privacy policy. Cosmos is part of ESO OS Ultimate; the ESO OS terms also apply.
2. Cosmos Store games
Games in the Cosmos Store are made by their own authors, not by ESO. They are free to download and are licensed by their authors (the licence is shown with each game). Cosmos downloads them from the authors' official servers; ESO does not sell them and does not own them. Follow each game's licence and rules, especially for online play.
3. Your other games
Games from Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Amazon, Lutris or Flathub stay under those stores' terms and your accounts with them. Cosmos only finds and starts games you already have. Only add games you are allowed to use.
4. Windows games
Cosmos can run Windows games with open-source tools (Proton, Wine, umu-launcher). Not every Windows game works; anti-cheat systems may refuse to run. Use it only with games you own.
5. Not allowed
Do not use Cosmos to spread pirated games, cheats that harm other players, or malware, and do not try to get around the Cosmos or ESO OS Ultimate licence.
6. Cloud library
If you sign in, Cosmos keeps your library, favourites and play time with your ESO account. Fair limits apply. We may change or end the sync service; your local library always keeps working.
7. No warranty
Cosmos and the games are provided "as is". We check every download's fingerprint, but we cannot promise that a game works on your PC, is error-free, or will stay available from its authors.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, ESO is not liable for indirect damages, lost save games or lost data resulting from the use of Cosmos or of any game.
9. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Algeria. Questions: support@esoos.dpdns.org. If these terms change we update this page and the date above.
